Travel, Develop, and Give Back!
Temporary asylum and development program in Japan for Ukrainian refugees
About the Program
HIG partnered with the Japanese organizations Pontepacis - Bridge of Peace, Kowa Food, and others to create a comprehensive relocation program to Japan for Ukrainian Evacuees. We help Ukrainians apply for safe asylum in Japan and connect participants with Japanese employers to find stable, rewarding work. HIG staff and NGO partners coordinate housing, visas, social support, and more to create a safe and positive experience for evacuees.
How we Support You
-
We ensure you have a safe place to stay throughout the process. We work with partners in Poland to arrange temporary housing while you wait for your Japanese visa. We also coordinate your housing with partners in Japan. Once you start work, your expenses are summarized and added to a payment plan with your new employer.
-
HIG guides you through applications, social benefits, and other legal procedures. This may include obtaining a PESEL number for your stay in Poland, visiting the Japanese embassy for interviews, and obtaining identification documents.
-
We’re with you every step of the way to Japan. Whether it’s translation support, phone calls, or in-person meetings, HIG is always there to provide information and support.
-
HIG networks with Japanese partners to help Ukrainians access gainful job opportunities with room for growth. Program participants acquire skills and savings to help restart their lives.
-
We help Ukrainians build professional skills and gain unique experiences to contribute to Ukrainian society! Participants can experience cutting-edge technology, gain language experience, increase their earning potential, and build organizational skills.
